INTRODUCTION
External Publicity Wing is an arm of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Pakistan, primarily responsible for public diplomacy and projection of Pakistan's policies abroad through press counsellors and attach?s present in 17 capitals of the world.

FUNCTIONS AND SERVICES
Fostering relations with foreign media, media organisations, think tanks, intellectuals, writers
Arranging foreign media interaction of VVIPs within and outside Pakistan
Facilitation of media teams accompanying foreign dignitaries
Promoting cultural heritage, tourism potential of Pakistan
Monitoring foreign media/ generation of reports
Countering negative stories in liaison with other Ministries
Facilitating Pak-based foreign journalists-visas, accreditation cards; etc.
Inviting and hosting foreign media delegations
Issuance of NOCs for placing public sector advertisements in foreign media
Liaison with foreign media teams for production of documentaries/films on Pakistan
Processing of MoUs / Agreements related to Media cooperation
