Pakistan, UK agree to early operationalisation of bilateral political dialogue

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister (DPM/FM), Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Tuesday received UK Minister of State for the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan, and Pakistan at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), Stephen Doughty.

The two sides reviewed Pakistan-UK bilateral relations and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening ties, with particular focus on trade and investment, education, security and other areas of mutual interest, a DPM’s Office news release said.

 

They also exchanged views on regional and international developments and expressed concern over the evolving situation in the region.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister emphasised that sustained dialogue and diplomacy remained critical to addressing regional and global challenges.

 
The two sides agreed to work towards the early operationalisation of the Pakistan-UK Bilateral Political Dialogue.
