Pakistan, Indonesia decide to reactivate Joint Economic Commission

Pakistan and Indonesia has decided to reactivate the Joint Economic Commission established in 2003.     

This was initiated during a meeting between Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and his Indonesian Counterpart Retno Marsudi on the sideline of OIC Foreign Ministers' Council's meeting in Makkah today (Wednesday).    

They also discussed the regional and global issues during the meeting.    

Pakistan Foreign Minister said that Islamabad considers Indonesia as an importance regional country and Islamabad wants to further promote bilateral cooperation in multidimensional sectors. 

Both leaders agreed bilateral cooperation in defence, agriculture, Technology and education sectors.   

The Indonesian Foreign Minister said that his country will provide all possible assistance to promote bilateral cooperation in multidimensional sectors between the two countries.
