Policies being chalked out to promote export sector: Dr Firdous

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said policies are being chalked out to promote the export sector, which will eventually help improve the economy.

Addressing the launching ceremony of Pak Central Asia Health Expo in Islamabad she said the government will ensure a one-window operation, ease of doing business and all required facilities to the pharmaceutical industry to enhance the country’s export.

Dr Firdous said the government is striving to protect the rights of people as per the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

She said the state institutions belonged to the people and the government is striving hard to bring institutional reforms to provide maximum relief to the masses.

She said the PTI government is working on multiple reforms, including social, legal, constitutional and electoral one.

She said unfortunately, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government has to take tough decisions as it is saddled with a weak economy, huge import-export gap and foreign debts.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister said the previous regime left trade deficit of 37 billion dollars and 100 billion dollars foreign loans, forcing the current government to approach the  International Monetary Fund for package.
