NAB working independently against corrupt elements: Fawad

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain on Monday said that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was working independently against the corrupt elements.
The NAB was taking action against those who were involved in corruption cases, he said while talking to a private news channel.
The present government had nothing to do with NAB, he said adding it was prerogative of that institution to take action against the elements involved in corruption activities.
The government did not stop NAB from arresting the persons involved in corruption cases, he said.
About nabing Shehbaz Sharif, he said it was the matter between the NAB and the former chief minister Punjab.
To a question regarding Babar Awan case on Nandipur, he said it was the project of Punjab which was not taken forward by the provincial government.
To another question he suggested that Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), should adopt the constitutional way rather than seeking protest demonstration.
He said if 90 opposition members signed the requisition then a session of the National Assembly could be called.
